Nu (eller igår rättare sagt) är jag hemma från surfcamp. Vilken vecka det har varit! Vart ska jag börja?
Veckan började med en två timmars bussresa till 7 mile beach (en mil(!) lång strand) där vi skulle surfada två gånger om dagen. Landsvägarna här i Australien skiljer sig stort från hemma i Sverige där det bara är skog, skog och åter skog (eller åker), här varierar det mellan savannliknande miljö, djungel och gröna stora kullar. Vägarna såg underbara ut och jag blev jättesugen på att köra bil (trots att växelspaken är på vänster sida..)!
Dagarna på surfcampet har varit superhärliga. Vilken otrolig grym känsla det var att stå på brädan och känna kraften i vågorna! Jag är helt frälst och måste göra det igen! Tidigare var jag ganska rädd för vatten, men nu känner jag mig som fisken i vattnet! Underbart! Vattnet var ganska kallt, men tack vare våtdräkten så var det inga större problem att ligga i vattnet ett bra tag.
Man bodde i stugor (inte röda med vita knutar) med sju bäddar i varje rum. Jag delade rum med killarna och ett sött par från Båstad. Maten man fick var väl sådär och toaletterna städades sällan, men stranden kan jag verkligen inte klaga på!
Det har varit kanonväder hela veckan men färg har jag inte fått så mycket av då jag har haft våtdräckt och solskyddsfaktor 30+ hela veckan. Lite "skador" har man också fått. Jag är blåslagen på höften på grund av surfbrädan, svullet knä och på näst sista lektionen lyckades jag skära mig på brädans "skärsäkra" fenor så nu haltar jag runt på foten.
